Success Stories

Empowering girl child

Miss P's Story

Barely 8 years of age, Miss P lost her parents to misfortune. Her relatives, financially challenged, were unable to support Miss P’s desire to study. To fund her survival, Miss P started working in an Old Age Home. Putting in long hours in the care of the inmates she found it challenging to continue studies. Having learnt about CSS, Miss P decided to turn her life with sheer determination and hard work.

She realized the opportunity to start her life afresh on a clean slate. Completing BSc Nursing from Kamineni College of Nursing, Miss P realized her personal ambition and was thrilled at life’s turn of events. Today she is staffed as a Nurse in the Cardiology Department in Kamineni Super-Speciality Hospital. Miss P feels pride in conferring the awards of her personal and professional achievement to CSS and thank them for the opportunity to lead life on her terms.

Happy times not ending at this, she has a sponsor who is willing to help her find a job in Australia so she can specialize professionally. Becoming self-reliant, Miss P says that she will support one of her sisters back in CSS.

We strongly believe economic independence through education is one of the best ways to empower women. Education should be accessible to everyone irrespective of economic and social status. Education and empowerment of women can never fail to result in a more caring, tolerant and just society.
